Life As Practice with Nithya Shanti

<aside> 👉🏼

Today’s Pure Practice session for me was very reassuring. Life As Practice is really a gift . Thanks so much for the offerings , I am managing what and when I can but every bit is just evoking gratitude and joy.

**I did the writing session recently. I have always struggled with writing. The level of clarity received through those powerful questions was so interesting.

*Hello Nithya Sir,

I am in my twenties, and somehow, spirituality has always felt like home to me. Since I was very young, I have felt that I belong on this path.

After getting married last year, I started feeling that I had somehow been left behind. I couldn't explain it, but it felt as if I had lost touch with a part of my inner wisdom. There was a constant feeling that something was missing.

Then, one day, I had a call with my batchmate. During our conversation, I told her that I wanted to be a part of something that truly resonated with my soul—something that would give me a sense of belonging. She recommended this course.

When I saw the fee, I immediately told her that I wouldn't be able to afford it. She mentioned the scholarship option, and from there, everything unfolded so effortlessly. It genuinely felt as though the Universe had already made a plan for me.

Over the last three days, I cannot describe the shift in my energy. It's difficult to put into words. Even though there are concepts and deeper teachings that I am still learning to understand, one feeling is absolutely clear—I feel like I have come home. For me, this isn't just a course. It has awakened a deep sense of belonging that I had been searching for without even realizing it.

Thank you for creating such a sacred space. I am deeply grateful to be here and excited to continue this journey.

Love and Light,

S.*

Nithya Sir, There are some sessions that are great to experience and then there are some that are pure transmissions. For me, today’s [pure practice] session was one. Beyond words. Beyond teachings. Just transmission. I was having tears in my eyes. I could feel the receiving of peace, clarity and answers. The session touched me deeply. Grateful. Thank you so much for your presence in my life as a teacher. 🙏🕉 T.

**Hi Nithya!

You have created an extraordinary space in the Living Room.

I was initially hesitant to join because being around groups of people gives me severe anxiety. I have often wondered why. I think I am basically a better listener than a conversationalist. And this works well when I am with a couple of people. In groups I end up listening less and find myself mulling on saying something meaningful that will make me appear "not stupid" or awkward.

When you ratified that silence was as acceptable as conversation, something eased in me. Immediately I felt my body and mind unknotting. What followed was magical. I listened attentively and spoke some. The interaction was enjoyable and enriching because the pressure to speak had been lifted. Thank you for this safe space. You are the universe's gift to all searching souls.

Have a wonderful and blessed day!

*Hi Nithya,

I just wanted to share my thoughts about the practices that we are going through -*

*• To start with the name - Life as Practice....initially I thought why this name...but as each day goes by the name becomes more and more meaningful ( any change first causes some resistance but takes a while to settle down)

• Similar feeling with the format. It caused a lot of confusion in the brain....too much to remember...so much variety. But as each format is experienced ...so many learnings surface. Book readings might sound very simple but have ended up being really deep. The higher force has amazing ways of addressing the turmoil & questions lingering sometimes on the surface and sometimes deep down.

• I just feel blessed every day, every moment and feel I'm being taken care of....to such an extent that there are tears of gratitude for you Nithya. I don't know how to say thank you 🙌*

Thank you very much for being my guide 🙌🫶🏻🌻✨💓

Dearest Nithya,

All I can say is WOW! 💫What a deep and profound practice! ✨️💖🙏🏽

I was experiencing shenpa (stickiness) regarding many aspects of my life, relationships, upcoming changes at work, etc. and the feeling of wanting to hold on tight, resisting the inevitable vagaries of life, insisting on my version of things was strong, alive and kicking 😁

Doing this practice on the most vital aspects of life that we most often avoid was freeing, liberating and eye opening to say the least! I experienced myriad emotions through the course of this offering and to my surprise was an ocean of calm at the end 😊 It felt like I had aligned with the mystery in sweet sweet surrender and letting go of the illusion of control 😊💖🙏🏽

Thank you ever so much for being an infinite channel of blessings and for being a conduit of universal goodness 🥰 🙏🏽

With heartfelt gratitude 🙏🏽 S.

Dear Nithya, I found the session just right on duration. Your topic prompt was helpful. I enjoyed listening to diverse viewpoints - multiple spotlights illuminating the issue. It also left a lingering sense of wanting to write about this after looking at some more angles . I hope that stays in the morning for me to put pen to paper. Feel gratitude ( to you and self) and curiosity for whatever flows out of these chats. It’s a cosy sangha. S.C. **Hi Nithya,

My update for today’s Living room:-

The conversations are bound to get deeper and personal…A personal space of comfort for each of us who get in the living room with u….. I can picture a fireplace crackling of logs….hot cocoa in our hands some sitting on sofas some sprawled on thick rugs with mountain wind making noises outside….where as inside the strangers sit amidst each other as if the souls have known each other for births after births…..comfortably sharing heartfelt conversations, thoughts…. I can imagine a fulfilling experience by the end of the year….and then my heart will say…YEH DIL MAANGE MORE!

Dear Nithya,

*What I loved about the Living Room:

  1. An intimate space of people coming together for a conversation.
  2. Its a safe space of non-judgmental exchange and sharing
  3. New and fresh perspectives in listening to one another
  4. An appreciation for people in the room for the richness of their lives experience
  5. Get to know many people other than mere one of the attendees
  6. The guidelines are simple, clear and hopefully one gets it

Dear Nithya - The Living Room Session was good. The biggest benefit is having Authentic truthful conversations without being judged in Today's World. Reminds me of concept of a Pen Friend that you used to have in my childhood days. Also, almost everyone is on the same boat and listening to others, you can relate to what is going on inside you. Thing to be careful of - Speaking Vs Listening. Thank you to conceptualizing, and implementing something like this. A.M.

Hello Sir,

The Living Room experience came as a breath of fresh air in our otherwise predictable lives. We are often so guarded with our loved ones and friends that what makes this space special is the ease with which we find ourselves sharing our thoughts, both playful and profound, with a small group of strangers. There is no fear of being judged, and even if we are, it doesn't really matter.

Even as we become more familiar with one another over time, I feel the topics can continue to bring in diverse perspectives, encourage us to think differently, and create opportunities to share experiences of all kinds.

I loved the format and am looking forward to more such sessions. Please feel free to share my feedback if you think it would be valuable.

Good Morning Nithya, thanks for including me in the first living room session. I had opted for another date but found my name here....

An example is you are where you are meant to be. It was very encouraging n nice to see a lot of new people join the community, so one got to hear fresh new perspectives.

Keeping it short n sweet helped everyone distill thoughts and verbalise what stood out for each of us...without going into a ramble.

I found that very important aspects got highlighted - connections which form the basis of our lives....what help form better connections...two way communication, sense of flow, touching something deeper, communication without words, holding space without expectations, when the mind is silent n observing.

If I may add - Living Room brings you to Intimate Deep Conversations

Thank you ❤️

"Hi Nithya,

Today's living room prompt was so so intense and meaningful. It immediately brought every aspect of my being to the surface.

The prompt: "In what ways have I hardened (become rigid) and in what ways have I softened (become flexible)”

For me, during this session, the purest and most simple aspect surfaced - "Love overtakes everything”.

I feel you are right in mentioning that “Life as Practice” is one of the best courses being delivered through you 🙌✨💓

We are all blessed to be a part of it!

🙏🏻🌻✨”

I will definitely practice this ....1% better each day!

Blessed to have u in my life...🙏🏻🙏🏻 Thank you once again 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Thank you sooo much Nithya ji for this wonderful Living room session. When I first thought of attending it I had no idea what it would be like but I really really ended up enjoying it. Also to let you know that even after joining I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to share anything but I did and it felt good.

I think the energy you bring to each session is truly amazing. This was my first time attending and I’m already looking forward to many more such sessions. 🙏🙏

**Thank you so much Nithya.

I just completed a recorded practice you shared. I find it unbelivable how the intensity of my dilemma dropped from 8-9 (on 10) after doing the practice to just 4-5.**

I feel so much more present, like shining with insight energy in my body.

And so it is !  And so it is, and so it is !

So grateful, trusting the process, with blessings from my heart!

**Thank You that You are and teach.

*Hey Nithya,

Good morning and Good Evening!

I found the recent practice “Gentle Touch of Gratitude” very powerful and insightful! The realization that the present moment is a gift and the only natural response to that is Thank You is enough and clarifies everything!

I'm thankful to you for gracefully planting the atom of comprehensive gratitude into my heart! Lots of Love and Blessings and may you always remain a channel of clear blessings in life!

🙏💕

Thank you so much @⁨Nithya Shanti⁩ for today's writing exercise, it was indeed very beautiful and eye opening for me.

I used to be my own biggest critic, over thinker and negative story/meaning making machine but today's exercise made me realize i have moved away from this completely!

Even your first prompt I had all positive meanings of the incidences happened and 2nd prompt i wrote all positives about myself, which was crazy. I am so delighted to notice this big shift in me, i am smiling ear to ear. 😄

**Thank you so much Nithya….love you for this exercise….💕
